In 2005 the people who brought you Bonnaroo launched yet another music festival, this one in Las Vegas called Vegoose. Jack Johnson played it. Daft Punk played it. Widespread Panic played it. Rage Against The Machine played it. Arcade Fire played it. The Shins played it. Lots of bands played it in the three years it ran. This is one of my favorite songs by Jack Johnson. It is from his latest album In Between Dreams which I would recommend to anyone. Something I have noticed about Jack Johnson as I listen to the different CDs, he never keeps the same vocal style. He maintains the same type of moods throughout the varying albums, but it is not like one of those voices that you go "Oh there's Jack Johnson! I know that voice!" He isn't Macy Grey ya know... "In Between Dreams" just makes me so happy. I don't know what it is; it's catchy, yet it has intricacy; It's poppy, yet is has substance.
Perhaps it's his Hawaiian lifestyle that makes his music so chills, but whatever it is, it's working for me right now.
Check out "Better Together", "Banana Pancakes" for a boost of happy energy.

Before i mentioned OK Computer as an easy listening CD, and i have tons more, but one that truly sticks out is In Between Dreams. First atrracted by the album art, it soon struck me that Jack Johnson actually plays good music, amazing music in fact. I quickly listened to the rest of the CD and fell in love with it. Songs like Sitting, Waiting, Wishing and Banana Pancakes, really just allow me to relax. I listen to it when i wake up, doing homework, playing games (cept GH),... MORE
