Late last spring, I traveled westward to give a speech on copyright. It was my first time in the city I visited, which also was home to a music store I've shopped frequently. After the speech, I made it out to the store and dropped a ridiculous amount of money on music. I had the pleasure of knowing about Dilla from Slum Village. But Donuts is probably the Hip-Hop album of the year, bar none! I celebrate his life through Donuts and The Shining everyday. He was a true inspiration for creativity, and experimentation of sound. I will always be a fan of the great J Dilla. DILLA LIVES!!!
