Itzhak Perlman's collection of Jewish themes is a perfect album to play around Hanukkah. Although these are not based in the holiday itself, this collection not only includes many beautiful renditions, but has a well-rounded, cohesive vibe that many collections like this simply do not have. Perlman's arrangements are at times mournful and sad, yet can be quite active and sweeping at other times. But it is this variety that makes the album work as a whole, and it is also why this is highly recommended for the holiday season.
