I used to try and collect all my concert tickets (to be honest, I usually got drunk, fell over and lost them) and when I had enough I would stick them in a picture frame;. . .So when Postman Pat delivered, what could well be one of my last non-eTickets today it brought a smile to my face. our love to admire leaked on friday, coming at the most ridiculously perfect time possible. after a pretty rubbish couple of weeks things were looking on the up and as a result of this i had a 24 hour journey that would hopefully reinforce this, so interpol would be the perfect soundtrack. i decided to save the album for the second portion of the journey, the return home, knowing that this would be the most difficult section of my journey. jeez i sound melodramatic. so... The opening track of 'Our Love To Admire' occasionally makes me want to scream and fall over. In that way where it just gets you so there's nothing left but to scream and fall over and be comfortable in the carpet. Not like, although similar to, the I've-just-been-shot scream and fall over. Like being shot in a good way. I'm overthinking this. Go buy the album.
