Just arrived in my mailbox is the latest album from Information Society, titled Synthesizer. A Different Drum (adifferentdrum.com) has 500 copies for sale as does the Information Society site (informationsociety.us). The album goes into wide release in October on Dancing Ferret records but I just couldn't wait. w00t.
After first listen, this is classic InSoc!

After a long hiatus, Information Society has released new material! I've been using a free trial on cRhapsody to listen to the new EP, and I think it's damn good! The lineup is slightly different, with a new lead singer - but it looks like the original lead singer is getting involved in some capacity as well. I will defer to the InSoc Wikipedia Page for details. Here is information about the new Oscillator EP. Best of all, it can be purchased DRM-free from eMusic. YAY.

A very cool song that was a hit at the end of the 80s. This one even has a sample of MOG favorite Lenny Nimoy aka Mr. Spock in it. Feel free to get up and bust a move in your cubicles!
