So, I recently discovered from a member of tech support (a/k/a Geek Squad) that here at the office, a branch of the provincial government, there is an entire server dedicated to music, movies, games, fileZ, etc, for employees to enjoy and use, but only if they’re “in good” with Geek Squad. I'm not sure if this has made the rounds here, but it's too good to let slip by if it hasn't.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Andy Samberg is a genius... and the SNL Digital Shorts are pretty much the only reason to watch SNL these days.
You probably heard the song and saw the video before but here it is again:
I am not usually fond of the use of the vocoder but in this case I think it's a great enhancer for Immie's super voice. The lyrics are also a plus, making this a great song.
I was in Istanbul, it was twilight, and it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever heard... Even though I make 'electronic' music, or at least make music with electronic devices, and love love love cool production (shoutouts to Timbaland and William Orbit and The Neptunes and Flood and Mad Professor and...) there is, of course, no better thing than to hear an unaccompanied human voice in a song. (Unless it's mine, that is; I have a terrible voice, which is why I've worked... MORE
I just found out about Imogen Heap from the new NBC series Heroes. It sounds really interesting, check it out.
