So last week, I made a post covering Ice-T's distaste for Soulja Boy's music and the less-than-kind statements he made about the teenager. Just a few days later, Soulja Boy responded with a YouTube video aimed at Ice-T. Once you got past the four minutes of joking and giggling, Soulja Boy actually made a few valid points. In less than 48 hours Ice-T made a video of his own, offering a rebuttal to Soulja Boy ... you can view both videos below and judge for yourself. (Soul... MORE
First, on to the durrrty: here's my song for HHT. Push play while I tell y'all a story. In 1992, your author managed a record store and she was a good little girl. And then Perry Farrell announced he was adding more dates to his sellout muthafuggin' Lollapalooza tour, and that the whole gang, including everybody who was pissed at Trent Reznor's keyboard malfunctions, was coming to Atlanta, four hours south of Asheville. Guess who broke the Ticketmaster rules, and printed... MORE

What Original Gangsta Means:
You see, I think they do. Let's have a look then, shall we? In the late 50's, growing up in middle class Liverpool, a young lad name of Lennon spun records by American artists such as Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, and Buddy Holly. These _records_ inspired John to begin playing Skiffle. And on a day at the fete in Woolton, young Lennon met young McCartney, and, well... In 1954, during a visit to actor Glenn Ford's home, producer Pandro Berman heard a forty five bel... MORE
I have been talking with Mike the Knife tonight about mash-ups. He always seems to get some of the best mash-ups, and if you have not checked out his page to listen to some of them please do so now. http://mog.com/Mike_the_Knife I decided to dig into my collection to bust out one of my favorite mash-ups for hip hop thursdays. Take one annoying song from a commercial, add the voice of Ice-T and you have a classic. I give you Coo Coo Coo Colors.
Ice-T is a storyteller of uncompromising integrity. If you don't get that, step off!
I Ain't New Ta This, from 1993:
Blair laid down some smack about a certain EMCD (Evil Music Crack Dealer) recently. HA! Talk about the pot calling the kettle . . .
This one's for Blair:
From the Daily Mail Ice-T's album cover too raunchy for U.S. music shops Music shops across America are refusing to stock Ice-T's new album because of the raunchy image on the cover. The 48-year-old rapper poses nude with his stripper wife Coco draped over him, barely covering his usually concealed weapon. Unless his record label places stickers over the album - which is titled Gangsta Rap and is his first in seven years - the legendary rapper faces a boycott by ... MORE
Like I said before I found some of my old tapes at my mothers house. And Ice-T O.G was the first I put in the "Ol" tape deck. Man this just brings back memo's from when gangster rap rulled the earth(for me). People like Ice-T, Ice Cube, Bushwick Bill, Ganster Nipp, Too Short, The Getto Boys the list goes on and on made me want to be "black"(it just looked so cool). pimp'in hoes, shoot'in gat's, that shit looked cool. Be that I was only in my early teens anything could have... MORE
