I don't get this. Isn't John Mayall supposed to be a lover of the blues? Isn't that why he called his combo with Eric Clapton The Bluesbreakers? This is better than 2 cups of strong coffee to wake you up this morning. The unbeatable Howlin' Wolf (Chester Burnett) doing a fast-tempo boogie woogie called Just Like I Treat You. This is damn close to rock 'n' roll for a blues artist, and an absolute delight.

The Wolf has gotten a little MOG exposure of late (thank you, Ivylander), so I thought I'd share this. It's from the "Fuzzy Warbles" home demo collection (9 CDs!) released by Andy Partridge (the XTC main man). There is apparently a DJ named Alan Burston, for whom Andy recorded this promo, aping the style of Howlin' Wolf. Short and amusing!
