As I was getting my wristband for the Howe Gelb show at The Annex last Friday evening, someone was asking Darwin the doorman what kind of music was at the club that night. Darwin said he couldn't really describe it, I lamely offered "California Ambient Country Rock" and just then Howe happened to walk by, and when asked, he just said it didn't really fit into any category. well well well.here i am in Victoria, my new home.it is lovely, the birds are singing, the sun has been out more than not, and i could have sworn i saw a unicorn galloping through the field down the street from my new house. it's a bit odd to pack everything into a small Toyota, get on a boat and sail away from 12 years of a big city. odd in a good way. i am settling in here, it's been a bit rocky and a bit smooth.i'm looking forward to playing tomorrow night here, it ... i'm moving to a new town on May 1st.
that's right, i sold all my records, cds, books and what-nots.
i said goodbye to domestic bliss, and hello to a suitcase.
i've narrowed my possessions down to one cat, one guitar and a computron.

What is there not to love about Howe Gelb? Talk about a man who does give a shit.
He found his love in my hometown and I think he still lives here on and off. This album was recorded here and this song features the voice of Under Byens Henriette Sennenvaldt. She owns this song!!!
