Fans just dying to get some of that top tier 90s pop rock in a live show will have to wait just a little bit longer. Hootie & The Blowfish have been forced to cancel four shows on their summer tour, and postpone another eight shows due to frontman Darius Rucker's staph infection. The forty one year old lead singer has undergone three surgeries to clear the infection, and is currently rehabbing the knee. The new start date for the tour is August 10th and kicks off at... MORE

In an effort to aid disadvantaged schools, Hootie & The Blowfish are embarking on a 14 city tour to provide supplies. Its been 4 years since the group first created the benefit concert tours, and has collected over 100,000 in materials since. Concertgoers are encouraged bring supplies to the show, which are later distributed around the community.The Homegrown Concert Series will start July 3rd in Lewiston N.Y, wind down in Detroit early september.

This is what I call that magical thing that happens when an um believably average band has ALL the stars align for them and they, even if only for a summer, where the biggest band on the planet. I hope they enjoyed it...talk about winning the Rock N Roll lottery!
