A finger (board) licking good album: an ode to the guitars. The two guitarists of the combo draw their inspiration from the folk music tradition and capture the very essence of it to offer their audience the purest, simplest folk songs. Emotions galore. Beautiful! On the other hand, behind the impression of simplicity, one can hear the incredible skill of the musicians. Herman Düne must probably be two guitar heroes, but they have surely chosen to use their talents for the sake of creating good melodies instead of doing what most technicians do: stringing up as many notes as possible in the shortest lapse of time. But, despite this self-restrain, they allow themselves noisy passages: in "World of Workers," such an approach can be found. Here, the comparison with Neil Young becomes impossible not to make. Also because of the peculiar voices Herman Düne have, that are not obviously reminding of the American folk singer's, but that are very unique too. We can also note that they are accompanied on most songs by a drummer, whose beats are giving strength to their, already almost perfect, compositions.
