All Music GuideThe second album by "Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass" (still a group of studio session men at this point) was not an immediate hit after its single, "Marching Thru Madrid," failed to repeat the success of "The Lonely Bull." But after Alpert and the TJB scored two #1 albums in 1965, this earlier album also ascended the charts, becoming a Top 40 hit and winning the group its fourth gold record.
