It's only been a little under 18 months since the release of the last Headlights album Some Racing, Some Stopping, but they are set to release their third album on October 6. It's not looking like it's going to be an upbeat record, they've described it as "far more elegiac than rousing," but, I'm sure it will be just a good as their previous work.

Reading that the new Headlights album was a "struggle" and that the band had scrapped their previous studio work on the album and started over again was a bit disheartening. Apparently the new album is going to be a change of pace from the Champaign, Il group because of infighting. However, you wouldn't be able to tell it from their new song "Get Going."
