All Music GuideThe Best of Haircut 100 is a 14-track collection featuring all of the lite new wave group's biggest hits, including "Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)" and "Love Plus One," plus several of Nick Heyward's solo singles, like "Whistle Down the Wind." Track for track, it's the most consistent album by either Haircut 100 or Heyward, even though several of the cuts are little more than pleasant artifacts from the early '80s. However, the three previously mentioned singles are all minor new wave classics, and it's nice to have them collected on one disc.
