The countdown to Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown is well underway. Only 36 days or some 876 hours (yes, I am a fan!) Last night, the punk rock trio played a secret show at San Francisco's Independent, with tickets only going for $20 a pop. It seems Green Day are giving their side-project Foxboro Hot Tubs a rest for a little while. The band are reportedly back in the studio with producer-turned musician-turned producer Butch Vig working on a follow-up to 2004's American Idiot. It will be the band's eigth studio album. (Has it been five already since Dookie?) This isn't exactly breaking news considering Vig's former Garbage bandma...
