Mele Mel has never been known for his humility, and being inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of fame this week didnt change a thing. He thinks 50 cent will one day be inducted, he wont deserve it, because his music is unoriginal and not influential.

I will not profess to be an expert of any kind on hip-hop history, but when Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's "The Message" came out in 1982, anybody who heard it knew that it was important(even me!), and it made the mainstream take rap a lot more seriously. There's a pretty obvious contrast between "Ant Rap" and this, "The Message" was like a state of the union address for New Yorkers. The record went platinum in a month.
