yup, im back from a lovely vacation in maui, and the seattle breeze that hit me off the plane couldnt make me want to go back any faster. lol. well, back to the real world. im refreshed, tanned, and ready to get back to school... ugh. but it WAS a great trip, full of sun, fun, heat strokes and those little umbrellas they put in drinks. while chillin on a beach in kaanapali, we found ourselves layin next to none other than the weasel himself, pauly shore... and his 22 year o... My music taste has completely shifted, totally to the other end of the spectrum. so over the angry rock phase, and although i am soft for a bit of Bloc Party, it seems all i want to hear is electro and acoustic, im either raving or feeling romantic. odd. i'm blaming it on a recent break up. Anyway, check out Calvin Harris and Kate Nash, two huge up-and-comings. Also, i can't get Patrick Wolf out of my head, i want to marry him. Check out this song i tagged too, a total sappy ... MORE

As I was driving my son to summer camp, we heard this version on a local radio station this a.m. and I had to search it out. My 10 year old son even said "That Elmo is so cool". My son rocks. He is so cool, cool enough to recognize that Elmo is cool (in his own red, monstery way), and cool enough to say it outloud. Remember, we are not talking about a silly tickle me Elmo, but the original, the world is your oyster Elmo, and he is definately cool. I do like the origi... MORE

So, I'm aware you haven't heard much from this kid in a while, but these past few weeks have been what most would call trying times, I've lost 3 friends to car wrecks and 2 more lay in critical condition at the hospital, I've had my heart torn from my chest and used as a pinata, and in the end i found myself wasted, waking up next to a girl i didn't know with the worst hangover and two hickeys to match on my collar bone, so i think we can all safely agree that I've made some ... Let me bring you up to speed. The Goo Goo Dolls played a concert on Feb. 9, 2007, here in the Ville. They are big promoters of the US Harvest, so they had this contest, y'see. The first 100 people to show up at ValueMarket on the previous wednesday with 100 canned goods to donate to Kentucky Harvest would get on a VIP list to meet the Goo's. So WHO got there 8 hours early?
Yeah...Me.
I was the first one on the list and was totally excited about actually MEETING one of... MORE

Does anyone else find the songs in which Bassist Robby Takac sings (and one can assume writes) to be just absolutly awful? Is that just me? Cause I think the bulk of the Goo Goo's material is pretty good, a bit sappy in places, but generally good. But when I'm listening to their albums I have to skip by tracks like "Something Bad" and "January Friend" and "Full Forever" before I throw up in my mouth. They're horrible songs! The lyrics are band and his voice si stupid and the ... MORE

You don't get much better than the Goo Goo Dolls. My first CD was the goo goo dolls lol. The lyrics are incredible, the music is beautiful, and the band hasn't succumbed to the unfortunate conformity most bands that have been around for awhile give in to. Pretty much the most amazing band ever. John Rzeznik is a poet as far as im concerned.... MORE
