For those hating on Gnarls (in further response to a comment on my Lupe post below...) I must question your musical abilities, and ask: do you listen to lyrics? Have you heard some of the things Ceelo has said? I can understand someone not feeling the vibe of the music, not really digging the hip-hop bastard child mash up…but you must respect the flow. Last week I thought Muse's "Knights of Cydonia" was the best music video in the history of ever. Now it's at #2 behind this thing, the "Zelig" of 20th Century Pop:
God bless Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse for putting Dennis Hopper and Dean Stockwell together for the first time since, what, "Blue Velvet" 20 years ago? I'd say that's worth a round of Pabst Blue Ribbon and some Candy-Colored Clown action!

I appologize for the posting delay - the next part of my lifesong series is being held up by the scorching heat the whole continent is going through - it's 37°C outside today. I hate the idea of feeding both the YouTube and Gnarls Barkley beasts simultaneously, but I can't help myself. The new video for 'Smily Faces' is just too good to pass up. I mean, fucking Dennis Hopper is in it (and Bowie, and The Clash, and Grand Master Flash, and...)!
