Proving that there might indeed be a God, the song "Falling Slowly" won an Oscar, allowing the amazing and humble musicians to receive an award for being incredible, on behalf of all indie artists. Those of you who know me or my tastes know that I fell in love with The Frames a few years ago and Glen is the real deal. Once was my favorite movie of 2007 and likely will remain one of my all-time faves.... MORE

Can’t say I didn’t tell him so. In May of last year, I saw an advance screening of the enthralling, musical, romantic Irish film “Once” at the Roxie Film Center in San Francisco - with co-stars Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová in attendance. Now I fully admit it took me way too long to see the film _Once_. Think partly because I knew the subject matter would make it a hard one for me to see. Heartbreaking as it was - easily one of the best films I've ever witnessed. (& I've seen quite a few films in my 32 years).
