It's refreshing that people have such different musical tastes. One reason why that's good that hadn't occurred to me before hit me as I was thinking over my experience with lala.com in the two months since I joined up. There are people out there who want CDs that I haven't listened to in years and probably won't listen in the future either. Ebay is a great resource for picking up those albums you never did get around to purchasing, or seem to have misplaced amidst our hectic lifestyles. I can certainly remember why I didn't buy Girls Against Boys major label debut (Freak on Ica) as its electro stylings means only a handful of songs that are worthy of the GvsB tag. However this assault, put the band off my radar so I missed out on You Can't Fight What You Can't See, on Jade Tree Records. Wonderful album. ... MORE
So we have an IPOD sound deck in the living room and we're enjoying just sticking it on random and seeing what comes out. Sometimes hearing obscure selections, really sparks flashbacks. For instance Girls Against Boys was played for the first time in ages. This band including two bass players, had a unique Fall-type sound and delivery.
