If you head over to Girl Talk's label Illegal Art's Web site a world a magic and wonderment awaits. Not really, but you do have the option of downloading Girl Talk's new album Feed The Animals for (que the magic word) FREE. There is a catch.
You see, Girl Talk aka former biochemical engineer Gregg Gillis seemed to have liked all the attention Radiohead got for In Rainbows' "pay-what-you-like" phenomenom ...so much that Gilis is doing the same with "Feed the Animals.

In between each of their songs The Death Set had samples of popular songs played over the PA. Artists such as Lil’ Wayne and MIA were broadcast to the audience to keep everyone’s energy up while the band retools for their next song. One fellow concert goer, fed up with The Death Set and itching [...]

Giving away things for free is awesome, especially when you yourself make your music for free. Such is the case for Pittsburgh's very own Greg Gillis, who's better known to the world as Girl Talk. Gillis is the name when it comes to mash-ups in the modern era. With Feed the Animals, his fourth full-length on Illegal Art, his marketing seems more important.
