Giorgio Moroder, though best known as the producer of Donna Summer's disco hits, also produced some synth heavy disco-y numbers for Sparks, Three Degrees and Melissa Manchester. I have to say this song is Funk in name alone. I just wanted to post SOMETHING for Funky Friday, but was pressed for time to pull out something good. The only thing funky about Giorgio was his 'stache.

It's a shame this wasn't released as an A side.It's such a super song, it could have been a big hit.It was wasted because it was hidden away from the world on the B side of Looky Looky.Since 1967 my family has played it every year on everyone's birthday.No birthday is complete for us until we've heard this familiar and much-loved song.
