All Music GuideThe second of two live LPs featuring the quartet of guitarist George Benson, pianist Mickey Tucker, bassist George Duvivier and drummer Al Harewood, this instrumental set (which has been reissued along with the first volume on a Jazz Hour CD) showcases the leader's guitar on lengthy versions of "Witchcraft," "Blue Bossa," "Oleo" and "Lil' Darlin'." Benson could always play creative hard bop, and this superior set (which might have originally been a bootleg) will be enjoyed by his jazz fans.
