UK punks the Gallows are postponing the release of their new CD/DVD to include brand new footage. Live At The 100 Club was originally scheduled to drop on March 10th, but Gallows have signed on for four more nights at the legendary London venue, the 100 Club. The band will record the shows and include them with the originally planned Live At The 100 Club CD/DVD set. MARKY RAMONE is a lot like your dad, you know, if your dad wasn't planning on voting for McCain, was a Rock And Roll Hall-of-Famer and once made an appearance on The Simpsons. The 51-year-old Marky (known proper as Mark Bell) spent 1978-1983 and 1987-1996 with the Ramones, and has previously done time for hard rock act Dust and another classic punk act, Richard Hell & The Voidoids.

Ska-punk band Gallows did a cover of The Ruts' "Staring at the Rude Boys." The Gallows' version features grime MC Lethal Bizzle laying down rhymes about halfway through. The brand new video brings back fantastic memories of my punk youth:

The return of Punk?

I'm not talking all the pop punk that we have now, I'm talking the return to old fashioned teach yourself 3 chords and form a band. Raw power and anarchism.
I'm of the generation that remembers The Ruts, The Clash and Sham 69. The Buzzcocks and The Sex Pistols. It's been 30 years since Punk kicked and spat it's way into the UK history books with a sound that was pure anarchy personified.
Has it come full circle again? In the way that rock has seen itself rejuvenated are we o... MORE

Well ive not mogged for a while, but in the time ive been away ive developed a taste for what i like to call "good music" as in "real" music, music that i can relate to.... i got to a stage where i was liking bands because i thought that it was cool to like them... then gallows came along :) went to see them live and it changed my outlook, they blew me away and i love them, even if its not too cool and so i rediscovered the taste in music i used to have many moons ag... MORE

ok, ok, ok. i've been away from mog for a while. well, for ages. i'm gonna remedy that. now. i totally promise to be a better mogger. anyways, i feel i've been completely ignorant of punk rock tuesdays. which, frankly (and melodramatically) is like ignoring my roots. so, on tuesday, in honour of punk rock tuesdays, i bickled my hair, as in, i'm now sporting a sexy (slightly fucked up) mohawk. this is a fucking major step for me. i've had an old school emo side parting si...
