This is kind of late but I have to atleast mention this show on here. It was at the House of Blues in Dallas a couple weeks ago. Pretty neat place. I don't know how any of the other ones look, but it had some cool decor and such. Local band Max Cady came out and placed some great stoner rock. So apparently Fu Manchu came out with a new album...
...back in May.
I don't know why I didn't know about this, or how come nobody told me, but it is what it is.
Saw it and picked it up at the store on Saturday. Like all their albums, it rocks a lot.
I remember listening to Hell On Wheels by Fu Manchu, on some freestyle MTB clip, for the first time and having my blood race through my body. I had to check 'em out, so i picked up their recent cd We Must Obey and cranked it up as i drove through traffic. All-around awesome cd, music made me grip my steering wheel and put on my race-face. Don't know who many of y'all out there know about this little band. I discovered them fairly recently, especially considering they've been around since the early 90s. I found them when I was surfing around on allmusic.com under the stoner metal category, which is a genre that I'm fairly fond of. Anyways, I didn't buy a cd of their's until this week because I wanted to find some of their earlier material first, but seeing as they never quite cracked the mainstream I was nev... MORE

"Southern California fuzz-rock quartet FU MANCHU have posted a second song from their new album "We Must Obey", entited "Knew It All Along", on their official MySpace page.
