All Music GuideThe CTI All-Stars are featured on this enjoyable CD which presents highlights originally released on two LPs. Trumpeter Freddie Hubbard and tenor-saxophonist Stanley Turrentine always made for a potent team and, with the assistance of an all-star rhythm section (guitarist Eric Gale, keyboardist Herbie Hancock, bassist Ron Carter and drummer Jack DeJohnette), the very individual stylists sound in fine form, particularly on "Povo" and "Gibraltar."
