Considering how crazy her life has been in the last two years... this doesn't surprise me in the least. Foxy was so disappointed and displeased with her new album, she's fired her manager and promised a better LP to her fans. She says the album was "compiled without her approval" during her 8 month jail stint.

The May 19 issue of Ebony's Jet Magazine features the dangerous curves and rude gal smirk of Foxy Brown.  It's her first magazine spread since she was released from Riker's Island.  Foxy sounds like she's speaking to the parole board when she speaks to the magazine, saying:

They are wasting no time getting this TV show ball rolling. Foxy's only been out of jail a few weeks so I'm sure they've been filming non-step. On the awesomeness scale of reality shows (Bobby Brown's being a 10, and Britney's being a 1), Foxy's looks like a solid 5.

I love Foxy, I always have. Like most Jamaican women and dancehall survivors, she's tuff, she rolls with the punches and spits them back on the microphone. Foxy Brown, who has been incarcerated since late August, has requested an early release from prison due to he ear condition. Brown wrote a four page letter to the judge that was filed on Tuesday, as part of an appeal at New York State Supreme Court.

The US prison system is having a hard time rehabilitating Foxy Brown. Even the notorious Rikers Island facility, where Brown has been incarcerated since September, hasn't broken the diva one bit. According to Geoffrey Davis, a friend of Brown's family and an activist who manages an anti-violence nonprofit org in Brooklyn, stated, "If they release her today, she'll be back in a week." Foxy Brown is fresh out of the hole in Rikers Island Prison, and spoke with Metro about her stay in jail and her new mindset. If I had just spent forty days in solitary confinement, I'd probably want to talk to reporters too.

In what amounts to just about the ONLY good piece of Foxy Brown news that we've heard in ages, she's been let out of solitary confinement due to good behavior in jail. Foxy was supposed to be locked away for 23 hours a day in "punitive segregation" for two and a half months. Good behavior caused Brown to be released in 40 days. A source says Brown was one of only four women to be released out of the unit early, and received no special treatment.
