Noisepop, 2008. A festival held yearly in our fair city of San Francisco featuring dozens of bands, independent film showings, art displays, and various other forms of expression. Out of the week long series of performances I only attend one: Foxtail Somersault, Working For A Nuclear Free City, The Rosebuds. I was working on this rough mix before heading down to lost angeles for new years..

We finally performed at a venue with a great sound engineer and pa system.. If the bass, and my vox ac30 were a little higher in the mix, i'd think the mix would have been perfect. Here's our set from last night

Although we had not rehearsed in almost 3 weeks prior to the 5.22 Rockit Room show, and I debuted my Vox AC30cch, James debuted his Fender Jaguar, Brian used the opening act's bass rig, and Mark played on the house kit, I think we pulled it off...

I just received and listened to Foxtail Somersault's EP "Fathom". I like it a lot. I like Cat Howland's voice and the multi-layered guitars. It reminds me of Slowdive and Mogwai.
