Chris: "I’m a Virgin Festival media pass virgin. Looking forward to that first time". I’ll be walking around the festival asking that same question, can’t wait to see what kind of video responses I get. Super pumped to check out this weekend’s Virgin Festival in Toronto. 2 days, 3 stages, 1 DJ tent, a crapload of [...]

A song on the new Foo Fighters album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, out September 25th, might finally address frontman David Grohl's feelings on his former Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain and his wife Courtney Love. The track "Let It Die" describes the relationship between "a simple man and his blushing bride/intravenous, intertwined, hearts gone cold your hands were tied." When asked about the connection on the album's second track, Grohl told a UK newspaper, "I've se... MORE
The Foo Fighters recently announced the first wave of confirmed US tour dates in support of their sixth studio album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. Today the band released additions to the tour schedule that include their first ever performance at NYC's Madison Square Garden. According to a press release:
This will be the band's biggest American tour to date and includes the Foos' first ever show at New York's Madison Square Garden. As on their warm up dates earlier... MORE
Friday morning there was one group on my list of bands I would never let pass through town without me being in the front row at their show. That was The Roots. Now, there's two. 1) After 6 (?) albums, it's nothing for these guys to fill 2 1/2 hours with nothing but bangers...and still leave out a couple favorites. 2) Dave Grohl is a showman, and just in general a likeable dude. The Foo Fighters released a new video for "Long Road To Ruin," the first single off the group's sixth studio album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.
It is the only music video by the Foo Fighters that the band performs in but Dave Grohl does not play guitar.
Echoes, Silience, Patience & Grace was realesed September 25 via RCA.
I'm trying hard to like the new Foo Fighters album. And why shouldn't I? Dave Grohl was in Nirvana. Dude's a drummer (I was once) who plays guitar (I want to learn) and who sings (I can't). Then there's this thing about the record being a Grammy-nominated album of the year. But I just want to hear the rocking songs, the ones with those hugely massive guitar hooks the Foos are really good at. I mean, these are the guys who created a hook that absolutely REQUIRED air gui... MORE
Roxy S.Foo Fighters “Echos, Silence, Patience, and Grace”8 out of 10 As if I had on a pair of ruby red slippers and clicked my heels to say “there’s no place like 1997, there’s no place like 1997...”, the Foo Fighters arrive right on cue. Now they have me jones-ing for some good ol’ alt-rock radio as I sit in a Weezer shirt looking at Radiohead posters and a giant Foo Fighters one doubling as wallpaper smattered across my living room. Call me what you will, but I didn’t ... MORE
