Most of the kiddies are already on their way or already in LA prepping for a weekend filled with *music, madness & mayhem !!!* I am still at work - getting all my ducks (*qack qack* - as Chase would say) in a row & printing out a ton of google maps for all the places we will go come Friday ;)I am beyond excited, but there's still so much to be done !!! Gotta finish packing (I have organized p...
I promise to avoid cliches, alcohol stories, and Irish jokes on this St. Patrick's day. To avoid making this post a cultural catastrophe, I'll try to focus on the music. You may or may not know this, but fact remains that I am a sucker for good punk-celtic fusion. This phenomenon has no explanation, no reason, no end. It just is so, and has been since the first time my ears were exposed to it. ...
NOw to throw a curve ball into my previoius posts. It's because tonight I''m drinking rum from an antique silver chalise. i couldent go on with the redneck charade for too long. sadly I find myself livin in the suberbs in a decidedly yuppie neighbourhood. My punk'/ revolutionary self writhes most uncomforatbly at this turn of fortune. but I must pirate on in secrate. For I am lothe to find my...
We have all been there, you see your favorite band is touring, but not coming anywhere close to where you live. It seems this problem may have just been solved, god bless the internet. Came across this site, and needless to say it rules. This is just my opinion of course, but feel free to check it out. www.fabchannel.com is a site that streams live shows for your viewing pleasure. WIth acts suc...

this Is a pretty fair sum up of alcaholisim. So is it a disease or am I just a miserable person seeking solice from the unending shittyness of my pointless existance. The last sentance would seem to be evidence of the latter.
Sunday was a hard and lovely day. The day started with me struggling out of bed at 8:30 to get a bottle of water and collapse back on the couch for some more sleep. The night before was spent celebrating a friend's 30th birthday, and I was appropriately hung over. The hangover was bad enough, but the temperature had plummetted into single digits overnight. I had a double-date with "Flogging...
Earlier this year, I received notice that Flogging Molly was touring again this year. I couldn't have been more excited. I've only seen the band one other time, and I had to drive to Cincy in a snow storm to do it. It was a great show, but it's definitely the type of show to enjoy with a pint or two of your favorite brew. Luckily, they are coming to Indy this year, and I will be able to enj...
Tonight kicks off concert season for me, and thought I would make a quick post about it. I'm off to see Flogging Molly. They're playing in Cincinnati tonight at a place called Bogarts. Unfortunately, it's two hours away. I've stocked the car with Coke (the liquid kind) and Skittles for the drive back. I've never seen FM or been to Bogarts before; so, it's two new experiences for me. I lov...
Every major holiday has a soundtrack. Christmas, obviously, has its carols. Valentine’s Day can be summarized through a mix CD containing the Three Wise Men of Love: Marvin Gaye, Al Green and Barry White. Halloween has the “Monster Mash”. St. Patrick’s Day belongs to Flogging Molly, the LA-based Irish-punk band whose fourth studio album Float only further solidifies them as the quint
Some may find it impossible to have a St. Patrick's Day hangover on February 10th. However, if a Flogging Molly show is involved, somehow is all makes perfect sense.Flogging Molly's Green 17 tour rolled through Detroit on a fridged Saturday evening that showcased some material from the band's upcoming album, Float, due out March 4th. This was the first time I have seen the band live and from ...
I've survived the holiday. It was a long ordeal, complete with family, sugar, and caffine and totally unheard of amounts of food. So many people werethere at work's potluck and then only five at my mum's place. My mum made enough food to feed the people at work andmy roommates are loving the leftovers already. Heh.
