I stumbled upon this song, and this group, a few days ago. I was immediately drawn in by the strings , and thought this would be another nice little twee song by a cutesy indie band. Then the verse started: "I can ride my bike with no handlebars..." What the hell is this? I wondered. I remember first hearing "Handlebars" while listening to the radio in my car. I've mostly given up on radio but that day I didn't feel like listening to any of the CD's that I had with me. So the DJ introduced "Handlebars," saying that it was a new song by a band from Colorado that had one a local radio contest. Say Linkin Park dropped their instruments and let a set of classical instruments take their place. Say Rage Against The Machine stopped shouting. Say Dilated Peoples stripped things down and Kanye West cooled his production fire. If all of the above took place you would be sitting firmly in Flobot country.
