If I were to declare my intentions for someone by posting a song for him here on Mog, I wonder if it would have the desired effect?
My friend is coming to stay with me in SoCal in late October to go this concert called 'GirlFrenzy'...i was just informed that I am getting a free ticket to the aforementioned frenzy. The lineup is Sheryl Crow(meh), Fiona Apple(yay!), and Avril Lavigne(WTF?) I am going to see Avril Lavinge. There I said it and I still don't believe it. It will be a frenzy alright...a frenzy of misery...i am totally taking one for the team on this one! I will now play some Fiona App... MORE
...could do us all good. It's far to easy to lose your faith today, and far too easy to never find it again. Realization of that fact is a cleansing emotion certainly underrated these days and one more of us need to know.
There are definitely a crapload of sad Fiona Apple songs.. but this one takes the cake. This is Fiona performing Oh Well on Craig Ferguson. She starts off semi-angry and hurt, singing to the guy who has broken her heart and continues to build on this emotion, only to end with such a helpless and feeble denouement, muttering the title words in such resignation. It's classic Fiona... with a soul synonymous to the sentiment of Paper Bag ("I thought he was it was a bird but ... MORE
Fiona Apple likes the fiddle, so much the pianist is hitting the road with Bluegrass-pop trio Nickel Creek on their "Farewell (For Now) Tour." (Apple would sit in on Creek’s Sean and Sara Waktins' ‘anything goes' "Watkins F... MORE

We’ve already started week 6 of The Program, I’ve just not had time to update the rest of the world on the matter. bendblock and I have chosen only one new album to focus on this week because, like I said, busy, busy, busy: Fiona Apple: Extraordinary Machine We were going to do both the officially released version and the Jon Brion version that was leaked, but I’m having a bit of trouble tracking down the bootleg. Wondering what The Program is all about? It's never t... MORE
In the midst of another dialouge in my previous post, this song popped into my head.
This tune, if i am not mistaken, is about the director Paul Thomas Anderson(Boogie Nights, Magnolia)...
The gold standard in 'celebrity' break up songs is 'Your So Vain' by Carly Simon I would say...
