Transition features vocalist Fiji collaborating with a variety of producers and guest vocalists, resulting in a glossy, well-crafted album that should appeal to those who appreciate socially conscious early-2000s world music. In particular, Fiji is a Hawaiian artist and these songs were recorded in Hawaii; however, the music sounds similar to Jamaican eggae, specifically the backing music rather than the vocals. Featured guests include Bitty McLean, Damon Williams, AZ, B.E.T., Mr. Re, Junior Maile, and more.
