While it's true that this is a CD and DVD package containing a latter-day Fats Domino performance of his hits, one cannot underestimate the genius of the man behind the piano. Domino is a natural-born showman, and whether you are listening to this gig on the box or playing it on the TV, it simply rocks. Domino is one of those consummate performers who reinvents himself in virtually every gig, turning and twisting his tunes into new works to keep them fresh and invigorating. Domino remains a top-flight pianist in the New Orleans tradition and a fine singer to boot. Whether you are a longtime fan or a novice who is just getting interested in the New Orleans piano man's rumble, rattle, and roll, this is for you -- given that it's on Intersound, the price is certainly right. (By the way, the performance of "Let the Four Winds Blow" here is simply to die for.)
