All Music GuideThe single What's up Fatlip? has a carnival-esque groove that complements Fatlip's unique brand of self-deprecating hip-hop. In a genre where self-assurance and bravado are at a premium, it stands out as a three-and-a-half-minute tribute to his endless shortcomings and insecurities. The B-side, "Goldmine," is also excellent, a leering sex ap reminiscent of Ol' Dirty Bastard.
