I dunno if I have recovered or the ecstatic crowd at the sold out Independant have recovered yet from the American debut gig of Fat Freddy's Drop last night. They tore the roof off the sucka, better live than their excellent albums. Hard to describe their music--comes out of dub, no live drummer, guitar doubles on bass but much of the bass line and bottom end comes from a sound board. Three horns

I got my tix for Fat Freddy's Drop at the Independant in SF set for 11/19 a couple of weeks ago. The Independant's website indicates the show is sold out. I am looking forward to what they bring to a live performance. Very intriguing group and I believe this is their first tour in USA.
