Eva Cassidy could sing the yellow pages and I would listen from aardvarks to zithers. Here she covers Paul Simon's **American Tune** , rather nicely I must say.

h1. Eva Cassidy. One of the most beautiful voices these two ears (with perfect hearing I might add) have ever heard. She passed away at 33 from cancer - way WAY too soon. Her voice is so pure & true it often brings a few tears along with a lot of love. She is beyond genre - as she fits into so many different styles so effortlessly it's breathtaking & impossible to define or categorize.I have ...

You outlasted the club scene, and the lights are going out, time for you to do the same. Eva Cassidy rises onto the Blues Alley stage once again, with a Patsy Cline cover. (Who says Halloween spirits mean you harm or look "Rock Star dead"?)

I was at Borders Books & Music today, looking for Cecilio & Kapono's "Lifetime Party: 30 Years of Friends Volume 2." I found it, browsed a bit more, then went to the new arrivals section. I don't care if fall technically starts Sept. 23 -- in my mind it's autumn. Goodbye August, the longest, hergin' month. I don't mind Sting's version of Fields of Gold but I love Eva Cassidy's rendition. It's the one Michelle Kwan skated to in the Olympics. Yes, I'm a geek for figure skating! But, some skaters need some serious help picking songs? When are the next Olympics anyway?
