All Music GuideDespite its title, Flies and Death n Stuff manages to keep its crunchy punk touches to a minimum -- most of the album's straight-out indierock sports good composition and interesting guitar constructions which tend more toward the sound emo ("Ten-Foot Tiger Shark") than the powerful rock rumble that the record opens with. Most important is the band's sense of melodic appeal, which keeps Flies and Death n Stuff listenable and engaging throughout.
