The Bingley Music Festival takes place in West Yorkshires Myrtle Park every year and 2009's event has just extended it's confirmed line-up. In a strange entanglement of the decent and the terrible, the line-up looks confusingly entertaining with Editors, Doves, Howling Bells, The Undertones, VV Brown, The Sunshine Underground, Calvin Harris, The Futureheads, Reverend And The Makers, Toploader a...

Russell Leetch (bass guitar) from the Editors is making a promise to blog this year and keep fans up-to-date on what is happening in Editors -land. In his first submission, Russell gives us a tiny insight into some new demos the guys are working on and he paints a pretty interesting visual of the music's atmosphere -We've already demoed 10 songs and we have another 10 ready to rehearse. We're...
Editors (+ Hot Hot Heat, Louis XIV)(The Warfield, San Francisco CA, 02/08/2008)I was happy to get another chance to see Editors at an indoors venue (I was in Europe at the time of their show at The Fillmore last fall), despite the fact that The Warfield doesn't have terribly good acoustics. After rushing to San Francisco from a three-hour faculty meeting (argh), I manage to arrive just in time ...

After reading dear *"Neill's":http://mog.com/Neill/blog_post/114269#write-comment* post, I knew that this would be a great cover. And it is. It has respect towards the original song, vivid Editors' characteristic sonical elements and Tom Smith's voice is reaching new haunting levels. I simply adore it.
Took a trip to my library on Sunday and picked up some albums to listen to. I got:Audion - SuckfishCassius - 15 AgainClientele - God save the ClienteleDeerhunter - CryptogramsEditors - The Back RoomI've only listened to the Audion album to completetion so far. It's a really great album. I skimmed through the Deerhunter and liked what I heard. Not so sure about that Cassius album yet. I've ...
The second track from Editor's new album is around the net (in case you missed the first one, it's right *"here":http://mog.com/1234chainsaw/blog_post/70543#write-comment*).And it's gorgeous. From the music, to The Voice, to the lyrics. "When you caught my eye, I saw everywhere I've been and wanna go" takes a place amongst my most romantic lyrics of all time. I don't have much more to say, I li...
Finger popping, toe tappin' good feeling.Hit play, or else. You won't regret it.There's a few reasons propelling this ride and every one of then is connected in it's own wonderfully chaotic way. "Life, the Universe and Everything".My good friend Galen has joined MOG and honestly I swore to myself I wouldn't do a shout out but I think we have a good chance of roping him in.I could write volumes ...
Ok so I was editing shots of the EDITORS' performance when they were in NY a few weeks ago, and couldn't help but notice Tom Smith's incredible flexibility and grace. It's not the first time I was reminded how graceful rock can be. Sure there's those oh-so-popular huge collectives, where half the act is literally bounding, prancing, and pirouetting across the stage...so it wouldn't a large 'lea...
