Last night at the bookstore, satellite radio played The Killing Moon. Those opening riffs by Will Sergeant are like a mesmerizing seductive trance leading you towards Ian McCulloch's sultry vocal. (I just discovered this rare alternate take of The Killing Moon. Different but I prefer this "dreamy take" to the nine minute plus (all night version) from the box set.) Here's the title track; "Ocean Rain" from the Echo and The Bunnymen album of the same name.
In my opinion it's one of (if not) the best EATB albums. The album also features "The Killing Moon".
