Geez. It's been ages since I've posted anything on MOG.
I guess I really just want to say that two of my favorite bands - Duran Duran and Radiohead - have both released amazing albums (relatively) recently.
Duran Duran's "Red Carpet Massacre" is a brilliantly fun electronic-pop album, and Radiohead's "In Rainbows" is their most consistent album since "OK Computer."

i was 14 years old in 1984. if you were a 14 year old girl in 1984 there was a fairly strong chance you were a durannie. i was a dedicated durannie. I've had so much new music lately I don't know quite what to do with it all. I've heard more in the last month than in the last year. Way too much of it is stuff I like. Hip-hop mogul Timbaland and pop sensation Justin Timberlake are helping Duran Duran get "sexy back," according to Yahoo. I don't know what i'm going to do? I have been taking the day off or playing hookey from work or school for the past 20 some odd years when Duran Duran has released an album, or cd what ever your listening pleasure is. Where do I get it, not from Wal Mart or worse Best Buy. Tower Records is gone, it;s as dead as disco. This is truly the end of a habit I will truly miss!

I was watching Jonathan Ross on TV in the Hilton Smashed off my face at 3 in the morning, and the band playing was Duran Duran. They look and play exactly the same, what 20/30 years later. FAB! I was loving it, so thats what I've been listening to all week, hehe. enjoy!

Some of the most beautiful videos ever were by Duran Duran. Rio, Hungry Like The Wolf, Girls On Film...all gorgeous. Now 25 Years later, the band is still around and making videos. The new one entitled, Falling Down, is alright as a song, but the video seems to make no sense...umm supermodels in rehab? Simon LeBon as a shrink? Anyone?

Duran Duran made a solid comeback with the upcoming release of Red Carpet Massacre and the recent launch of its first video for the song "Falling Down." The video portrays the trend of models/starlets going to rehab for a week and then returning to a life of luxury. However, someone in the UK does not approve. Duran Duran are back and their new video is fabulous! Totally hilarious - the band run a rehab for rich brats and the story starts out with a Britney Spears look-alike whining about how she's fine while her boyfriend calmly tries to get rid of her. One of his arguments is that she'll enjoy it because she's got girlfriends in there to hang out with! Hahha ha ha! The song is great too, a great comeback for the pop stars.
