Blog post image preview For those of you who've never heard of these guys, Dredg from California is a fantastic group. This is actually an interlude on one of their albums, which is also my favorite of their work to date (aside from the live album). There's something peaceful and relaxing about this.

During my interminable absence, I discovered a band that some people might have actually not heard of. dredg. The first two albums (recent stuff = bit too poppy). El Cielo is the best. Think the prog metal of Tool with the quirkiness/pretentiousness of Radiohead.

Two birds with one stone kinda post. I've been tiptoeing around Dredg. Weaving back and forth into their music, alternately listening to half the CD daily to nothing for a month. I saw them at a concert with Blood Brothers, mewithoutyou, and Coheed And Cambria. The next week I started working in the stock room of Barnes And Noble and met a guy who had been at the show.
