I'm sick of working. I hate my job and all work together.
and by work I mean jobs that make money for other people besides me.
thankfully I like music.
I just don't know anymore. I use to have all these big plans but they all seem to have left me. I'm just a guy now. Sinking into the regular life of eat,work, and sleep.
just wish I had more time for these sounds. I miss the sights. The smells.
They're playing everywhere BUT my Uncle Mitch's favorite corner pub, for crying out loud. Except Providence. Go figure. Where's the love? I'll have to make my way up to Cambridge, alas. Key members of Do Make Say Think Charles Spearin and Ohad Benchetrit are the Canadian-bred backbone to Broken Social Scene which unquestionably meant they spent much of their time away from this band touring and recording (and re-recording) with the other. Last Friday, the 2nd of March, I saw Do Make Say Think play. It was the first time I had seen them in three or four years, when they played a double bill with Fly Pan Am. That concert stands as one of my live music milestones. I was just starting University and was really into the whole Montreal experimental sound. So, not too long ago I started really getting into post rock (Godspeed You...,Red Sparrowes, Mono) as well as some new metal (ISIS, Pelican, Boris). There seems to be some correlation. This morning, I was giving Do Make Say Think another listen- I've had the album for a while now, but I just do not listen to it all that frequently.
