Geez, step away for a few months and everything changes. Been trying for over an hour to figure out how to post a video.Well, recently I've journeyed to the past. My kid's past, that is. They're having a good laugh at me because I just discovered Dishwalla.Also discovered Collective Soul, Tonic, and Secret Machine.My kids did know good music after all.:-)

Not just a 90's one hit wonder

While most people know Dishwalla's mid-90's hit "Counting Blue Cars" they made several more albums worth listening too. My favorite is Opaline. Each song just melts into the next. It's a bit softer than Pet Your Friends, Dishwalla's first CD. They are currently on hiatus but the lead singer, J.R. Richards is now recording a solo CD.

Dishwalla is an alternative rock band. The band's name comes from an Indian term for a person providing cable television to a neighborhood.The band members consists of Scot Alexander, Pete Maloney, J.R Richards, George Pendergest, Rodney Browning and Jim Wood. Rodney claimed the band took the name out of a Wired magazine article, according in a Vox interview.
