My numero uno requirement for a band when they cover someone else's song is: Make it your own. That's what Devo did with "Satisfaction". The tempo is different, the rippin' bass line funks it up, it's almost entirely drums and bass, and Mothersbaugh has his way with the melody. Well, I to think of something to say for my first post, but I couldn't. So in apology, here's something by DEVO:
Oh gosh.... Thank you to Spencer Owen's Maracatu Atomico for pointing me to Are we not men.... I have strange criteria for classifying bands. DEVO fall into my category for "AMAZING".
