Fans of Queens probably already know all about the Desert Sessions, Homme's recurring get-together jam sessions. The last one released, which I guess was a few years ago now, is one of the few to have a non-Palm Desert Scene artist featured on it. PJ Harvey is on most of the tracks, including this sweet one:
Reviewing Queens of the Stone Age albums these days is an exercise in torture... Lullabies to Paralyse had me scratching my head for days - it was a new album, and yet one of the songs was so familiar that I knew all the words to it... it drove me insane. Was it a cover? Yes I have the whole collction of desert sessions. I must say though, half of it is gold and the rest is worth leaving behind. Don't get me wrong I totally love the artists involved and I think the whole concept is great. Let me finish with saying that when I say gold, I mean gold.
As far as a trade goes lets talk.
I love this song, reminds me of old Afghan Whigs stuff with the guest vocals... the song 'Crawl Home' with PJ Harvey on this release is also AWESOME!!
