Fans of Queens probably already know all about the Desert Sessions, Homme's recurring get-together jam sessions. The last one released, which I guess was a few years ago now, is one of the few to have a non-Palm Desert Scene artist featured on it. PJ Harvey is on most of the tracks, including this sweet one:

Reviewing Queens of the Stone Age albums these days is an exercise in torture... Lullabies to Paralyse had me scratching my head for days - it was a new album, and yet one of the songs was so familiar that I knew all the words to it... it drove me insane. Was it a cover? No, can't be... Of course, In My Head was a reworked cut from the Desert Sessions 9 and 10 - and now Make It Wit Chu has made the leap from that fabulous set of recordings to a real album! Yes I have the whole collction of desert sessions. I must say though, half of it is gold and the rest is worth leaving behind. Don't get me wrong I totally love the artists involved and I think the whole concept is great. Let me finish with saying that when I say gold, I mean gold.

Okay , Desert Sessions is a sort of Laboratory for Josh's real gig QOTSA. But in a lot of ways some songs are better and still others show up later on the actual QOTSA album . when my future ex-wife and fave female song writer PJ collab'd it was pure Kismet for this boy....enjoy. I do...

I love you all so much , I cant keep up! I have resorted to bookmarking pages so I can go back and check out suggestions and um, erm- "borrowed" files from the um , other site....so if I may ....New Rule.Please suggest your fave tracks or "break in" tracks , so i can check those out first and then look(listen and feel) later.....some bands dont have the best opening salvo's so....well just a suggestion and a way for me to process more music so its a little self centered as... I love this song, reminds me of old Afghan Whigs stuff with the guest vocals... the song 'Crawl Home' with PJ Harvey on this release is also AWESOME!!
