Dead Moon, the pioneering garage rock band from Oregon finally called it quits in 2006. You can't keep a real rocker down. Dead Moon's Fred & Toody Cole have a new group, called Pierced Arrows. Word on the street is the sound is the same rootsy rock that Fred has been screaming at the top of his lungs since 1965.

So, I had worked my play count=0 list down to about 200 songs and was damned proud of myself...christ, you music people are prolific these days...and then I checked the mail. Here's the good news. Seems that Sub Pop is doing a giant 2CD compilation of the genre-defining works of Dead Moon out of Portland, Oregon.
