Today I was digging around looking for something interesting. I came across this tune via another favorite artist of mine. I saw the song listed on a live recording that this particular artist did. It really surprised me to hear him introduce the song as one he wrote. Always thought this was a Dave Edmund, or Rockpile original. It isn't. Anybody have a clue who wrote this song? Here's a live ve...
I just finding more and more gems from the 1979 time period, what is it about that year? maybe a premonition that the 80s were going to really SUCK? anyway this one was actually written by that master of disguises:Anyway, Dave's whole album is rather good, it also has crawling from the wreckage (a fast paced rocker), and queen of hearts a nice country rock piece.
This stuff will brighten anyone's day. A great way to head into the weekend.Amazon:There's nothing complicated about Welsh roots-rocker Dave Edmunds. I own a pretty complete collection of Dave Edmunds. First exposed to him in the 70s when he covered, and improved upon, Elvis Costello’s ??Girls Talk??, I’ve been a fan ever since. His fabulous guitar work and often-stellar vocals have produced a plethora of great tracks. But one of my favorite albums is ??D.E. 7th?? (Dave’s seventh solo release – duh!), which covers a lot of musical ground and ...
