I just discovered that our new car has satellite radio; to the best of my knowledge we aren't paying for it... (The car was a Hertz vehicle; maybe they didn't deactivate it when they sold it off).

Sometime in October 2001, i think (the photos are in a file i must have created around December 2002 on the computer) - A Night at Tipitina's, New Orleans. I posted a comment on Anna's MOG (and, no, this is not that comment recycled) in which i mentioned being at Jimmy's in New Orleans for a Dash Rip Rock New Year show. Jimmy's (Red circle in the above satellite pic; 8200 Willow Street, New Orleans. The big white building - yes, it does cover a whle city block - is the trolley barn; in the full-sized version of this pic you can see the tracks turning off Carrollton Avenu, running up the middle of Willow Street and swing... Dash Rip Rock Had the best live shows. The crowd was as amped as thier music. They were really funny on stage too. Jason and the Scorchers were awsome too. They did a cover of the Stones 19th Nervous Breakdown that was killer. It was fast and had a rockabilly tilt to it. Man...I wish I still had that album.
