After the dust settled from the Vancouver Folk Music Festival I had the pleasure of sitting down with Dan Mangan to talk about the fest, his new album Nice, Nice, Very Nice, and many other things. Speaking of his new album, it's already available for sale off Dan's site, Zunior, iTunes and your local record shop. Some of the dates we talk about might be a little old as the interview took place ...

There are a lot of singer-songwriter/guy-with-a-guitar types out there, here’s why: 1/ it’s a relatively easy genre to get into — in 00s, to put out an album you need a guitar and a Mac; 2/ there’s a relatively low degree of difficulty putting together a s-s album — it’s hard, unless you have zero [...]Related posts:Dan Mangan – Roboteering EP Review Imperfection is a funny thing, p

Dan Mangan’s sophomore release, Nice, Nice, Very Nice wins the Most Pleasant Surprise Of 2009 Award at HearYa. They don’t recognize imperfection for what it is, a way of either making you human or propelling you above the crowd. Dan Mangan’s imperfection does the latter. His voice isn’t [...]No related posts. Thanks to Golux, I too have been sifting through the massive offering from artists at this year's SXSW festival. After making it through the "E's", I have found a lot of decent to good tracks, but just a couple stand out. So far, the best is from Dan Mangan, off of his album "Postcards and Daydreaming." My wife agrees that this is an artist worth looking for. Restrained vocals, acoustic and...

Ok folks, it's Thursday, and so I'm going to skip the foreplay and get straight to the hot Canadian music video action. Well, not right to it, as it's in the hill's bylaws that we must give some preamble for even the simplest of posts.I'm sure many of you have already seen the video we're leading off with today, but that's too bad, because if Snoop picked this guy up, he'd immediately drop him...
